High Speed Switching Box IHW-50GCE

This is an A/D converter-integrated switching box offering high-speed, high-accuracy measurement and developed to allow expansion of measurement points combined with a data logger. It can measure 50 points in a high-speed 0.4 seconds. Several switching boxes in system and with parallel use of the integrated A/D converters allows strain measurement of 1,000 points in the same 0.4 seconds. High-speed digital communication by RS-422 insulated from the measuring unit or optical fiber makes it extremely resistant to noise. IHW-50G-01 (factory-installed option) allows measurement in high-speed mode (HSP) when connected to only a single TDS-630 high-speed, high-functionality data logger.

The TC-32K is a compact and handheld digital data logger. Its splash-waterproof construction enables outdoor use. The sensor connection terminal board is a patented one-touch type to facilitate connection with leadwires and banana plug and speedy preparation for measurement. Sensor mode, coefficient and initial values can be set and measurement values recorded for the maximum 20 channels, so you can collect measurement data at several field sites for later data processing. The use of the exclusive switching box CSW-5B makes 5-channel automatic measurement possible. The TC-32K has an interval timer, data memory, compact flash memory card slot and interfaces for computer control and data transfer. Gauge resistance and insulation resistance measurement functions are also provided to easily check strain gauges and transducers.

This portable data logger TDS-150 consists of a control unit (TDS-150) and exclusive dedicate channel units (FSW-10) and measures strain gauges, strain gauge type transducers, DC voltages, thermocouples and PtRTD. The dedicate channel unit (FSW-10/FSW-10L) can be cascaded up to 5 units to total 50 channels. In addition, by using a switching box/TML-NET driving board ( TDS-150-06 /factory installed option ), it can be extended up to 100 channels. The TDS-150 operates on not only AC mains but alkaline D-cells or external battery and has data memory and sleep interval timer functions for long term automatic measurement. It is possible to store measurement data and setup conditions on compact flash memory card. Interfaces are USB and RS-232C, and reading of various setting conditions and measurement data can be conducted from a PC.

BF series Composite strain gauge

BF series composite strain gauges are developed for measurement on composite materials, and are designed with a proprietary special grid pattern to reduce the stiffening effect of the strain gauges. Models are available for materials with coefficients of thermal expansion of 3 × 10-6/℃, 5 × 10-6/℃、8 × 10-6/℃ allowing use with ceramics, carbon, composite materials, etc. 
A new series of strain gauges bearing the CE mark, GOBLET, has been added. This CE-compliant series of products is compliant with RoHS directives. These gauges exceed the capabilities of conventional strain gauges with lead-free soldering as well as a unique tab design. CE-compliant extension lead wires are also available.

This is a load cell which measures an external force passed to the tire from the road surface while the car is running, by breaking the force down into orthogonal three-component force and three moments around the force axes. Highly precise measurement is possible in every driving condition owing to its load detecting part with reasonably arranged strain gauges, slip ring and rotary encoder assembly with improved vibration resistance, and waterproof structure. This transducer is used together with the exclusive 6-component force analyzer MF-660. The 6-component force is indicated in a coordinate system based on the car body.

When adhering a strain gauge to a specimen, it is necessary to press the strain gauge until the adhesive hardens. PRESSEE not only applies pressure (PRESS) on the strain gauge, but is also a pressing jig allowing a strain gauge to be checked visually (SEE) from the clear pressing portion. Using PRESSEE saves time in having to keep pressing with the fingers, and a constant pressure on a strain gauge allows stable adhesion quality. The position of the strain gauge, flow of the adhesive, and other aspects can also be checked visually while pressure is applied.
